Description

Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the body and it makes up a large part of our skin, hair and nails. Collagen is a polypeptide and contains a mixture of amino acids, which are found in all connective tissue within the body.

The building blocks that make up all proteins are called amino acids. If you lack the amino acids that combine to form collagen, your body’s cells cannot produce enough of it.

Collagen is a long-chain amino acid. It is composed of the individual amino acids Glycine, Proline, Hydroxyproline and Arginine and in nature is found exclusively in animal tissue, especially bones and connective tissue.

It is what is responsible for giving skin elasticity, hair its strength, and connective tissue its ability to hold everything in place.

Amino acids are nitrogen-containing molecules that serve as the building blocks for proteins. Every protein possesses a unique sequence of amino acids that determines its structure and function. Your body contains hundreds of thousands of different proteins, each of which performs a specific task. Proteins serve as enzymes, hormones, immune molecules, molecular transporters and structural components. Collagen, a structural protein, is one of the most abundant proteins in your body.

Connective tissue is the material that forms the structural framework for your organs, bones, eyes, tendons, cartilage, skin, blood vessels, lymphatics and muscles. Collagen is the chief protein in connective tissue. Collagen exists in different forms, depending on its location in your body. Although the same amino acids are utilized to synthesize all forms of collagen, the ultimate shape and function of the collagen molecule is determined by how it is modified during its production.

A few benefits from consuming Collagen may include healthy and youthful skin, stronger hair, promotes joint and cartilage health, deeper sleep, increased athletic performance, improved digestion and gut health.

I personally consume Collagen in the form of a powder extracted from ethically treated, grass-fed, pasture-raised Bovine hide. It contains Alanine, Arginine, Aspartic Acid, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Histidine, Hydroxylysine, Hydroxyproline, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Proline, Serine, Threonine, Tyrosine, Valine in balanced amounts.

  1. Well you Please share with me the name of the collagen you take. I’ve been researching them as my homopathist recommend I start one.

Is the one you use on the open market or a private seller.

Thank you. Have a blessed day.
